February Vacation Fun!

We have been enjoying a nice mixture of relaxing and staying busy this week on our February vacation. Today we packed up the car (and I was proud of how light we travelled), bundled Henry up and headed down to Boston. We arrived, along with the other hundreds of families that had the same idea, at the Boston Aquarium. We weren't quite sure how much Henry would get out of the experience, but he surprised us (or not really) and seemed to enjoy watching the fish, penguins and other sea creatures floating around in big tanks. It was so cute to watch him try to grab and touch the fish through the glass and I swear at one point he was waving to the fish:) It's just so amazing to watch him experience these things for the first time....wondering what is going through that beautiful head of his. After our visit to the VERY crowded aquarium,we headed to the North End to have lunch. Since Matt and I have been together we've visited the North End quite a bit to enjoy the amazing Italian restaurants and cafes...it is one of our favorite places to eat! We decided we had to take Henry to show him the real deal...we ended up at a lovely restaurant and had some amazing lunch...Henry seemed to enjoy the rolls the best. After lunch we strolled around in the balmy 40 degree weather and sipped cappuccino. Henry was wiped out from his big outing and napped the whole way back to Maine. It was a great day and we hope you enjoy the little collage of pictures we put together to show you!

Catching Up!!!

Hello family and friends! Don't worry, we haven't forgotten about you, we've just been really busy these last few weeks and haven't had a chance to share pictures from it all! The weekend before last we went to Okemo Vermont with Henry's Aunt Lauren, Robin, Jill and Uncle Lars. We stayed in a beautiful condo right on the mountain so we could ski in and out. It was tons of fun! Although Henry is still a bit too little for skiing, he had fun cruising around downtown Ludlow and hanging out in the condo. His sleeping was a challenge that weekend due to the new environment and the excitement, but we all survived and got right back on track when we got home. This past weekend we took Henry on a nice walk on the beach, had friends over Friday night for lasagna and finally went down to Le Reux Kitchen store and spent our gift certificate from Christmas...it was fun to get a few new things for the kitchen! We are on break this week as it is February vacation so we are enjoying some down time and are staying busy with some indoor activities since it is still sub zero out there. At the end of the week we are hoping to make a trip down to the aquarium in Boston....we shall see what else the week has in store for us. As you can see from the pictures, Henry loves to stand up holding on to things. He LOVES books, especially my cookbooks which are located on a convenient low shelf in the kitchen. He says "mama and dada" while looking at us and is sitting still for longer periods of time while we read him his bed time stories. He is sooo much fun to watch these days as he is changing so much each and every day! We hope you enjoy the latest pics of our little man. We are looking forward to the warmer days ahead so we can take Henry on more adventures!!!
